Class Descriptions

​

Teeny Tiny Dancers (Age 2-3)

A fun introduction to ballet, tap and acrobatics in a 45-minute class. This class will cover basic dance movements that build coordination and is meant to be fun and build self-confidence.

​

Dress Code: Any color leotard and pink or black tights with their hair pulled out of their face.  They may wear skirts or shorts over their leotards if they don't restrict their movement.

Tiny Dancers (Age 4-5) 

A fun introduction to ballet, tap and acrobatics in an hour class. This class will cover basic dance movements that build coordination and is meant to be fun and build self-confidence.

Dress Code: Any color leotard and pink or black tights with their hair pulled out of their face.  They may wear skirts or shorts over their leotards if they don't restrict their movement.

Petites I (Age 6-7) 

A combination class including elementary level ballet, tap, beginner jazz and acrobatics in an hour & a half session. This class continues their knowledge of movement, introduces dance vocabulary and musicality, and continues to build their self-confidence and communication skills.

​

Dress Code: Any color leotard and pink or black tights with their hair pulled out of their face.  They may wear skirts or shorts over their leotards if they don't restrict their movement.

Petites II (Age 8-9)

A combination class including elementary level ballet, tap, beginner jazz and acrobatics in an hour & a half session. This class continues their knowledge of movement, introduces dance vocabulary and musicality, and continues to build their self-confidence and communication skills.

Juniors (Age 10-13)

A combination class including ballet, tap and jazz in an hour and a half session. This class will continue to develop their dance skills and understanding of terminology while further exploring their self- confidence and love of dance.

​

Dress Code: Any color leotard with pink or black tights  and hair up in a ponytail or bun. They may wear dance skirts for ballet and shorts for tap and jazz.

Seniors (Age 14-18)

A combination class including ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical in a three-hour session. This class will further their dance technique and deepen their understanding for dance as a form of self-expression and individuality. They will continue to work on learning and memorizing choreography in each style and explore choreographing themselves.

 

Dress Code: Any color leotard with pink tights and hair  up in a bun for ballet. They may also wear a ballet skirt if they want. For Jazz and Tap they may wear shorts and or fitting tops over their leotard and tights and may have their hair in a ponytail.

Acrobatics I (Age 10-13) & Acrobatics II (Age 14-18)

​

Acrobatics Dress Code: Fitting athletic wear and bare-feet. If they are also in a dance class, they must have convertible tights  (with a hole in the bottom of the foot) so they can be barefoot for Acrobatics.

Move and Groove: Beginner Dance Class (Age 6-10)

For the kids who just want to learn to move around and put it to music, we are introducing a beginner dance basics class. This class will consist of a little warm up, some basic dance skills, and learning a fun and easy dance combination they can feel confident doing. They don’t need any dance shoes, or specific dance attire, just themselves and a positive attitude.

Dress Code: Comfortable , but fitted athletic wear so they can move freely without restrictions. Can wear gym shoes, bare-feet or dance shoes.

Beginner Musical Theatre Dance (Age 13 +)

This class will be a beginner level class for Musical Theatre students who want to expand their dance experience with other teens at their level. We will work on basic dance skills used in Musical Theater dance, learn combinations from a variety of musicals to work on understanding and retaining choreography, and most importantly build self-confidence in their dancing.

Dress Code: Comfortable , but fitted athletic wear so they can move freely without restrictions. Can wear gym shoes, bare-feet or dance shoes.

Adult Beginner Tap (Age 18+)

 

This is beginner level tap class for adults who want to learn to tap dance and are ready to dance to their own rhythm and gain some confidence while doing it! 

​

Dress Code: Comfortable athletic wear and black hard sole tap shoes.
